Four new housing complexes: 1,520 flats for Nurzhan
Nurzhan is building the most: four of the ISEZ's nine housing complexes are here. Handover is promised for 2027–2028.
According to the city halls, nine housing complexes with 3,308 flats are under construction in Talas, Nurzhan, Iyık Janyl and Kyzyl-Adyr. Four of them, with 1,520 flats, are in Nurzhan. Talas has three complexes with 1,380 flats, Iyık Janyl one with 240 and Kyzyl-Adyr one with 168.
Handover is planned for 2027 and 2028.
A one-room flat in Nurzhan now rents for 750–1,200 som a month, in Talas for 1,000–1,500 and in Iyık Janyl for 600–1,000.
Some of the sites are on former sovkhoz fields at the edge of the cities. After the record harvest, farmers and councillors are asking how much irrigated land the cities should build over. The Kyrgyz president recently raised the same issue.
